Current Definition Layers of Abstraction
A system architecture which contains a numbers of layers starting with a general purpose layer (e.g., a programming language). The higher levels are less general, more application-oriented, and provide a smaller transformation distance to the application domain for which they are suited. Example: MCL/Agentsheets/VDDE.
